Very very busy.
While I was away I made this.

I wish to welcome my now 2 week old baby girl Mollie Helen. Born 8 June 2008, 4.46am, 8lb11oz and 52 cm long.
She is just lovely and her big brother loves her too.
My labour was fast and breastfeeding is getting there. I am feeling more human now so hopefully I will be back to blogging again.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-19884473469782677172007-08-25T19:32:00.000-07:002007-08-25T19:38:58.016-07:00I got my Invite!!!!!!!Yay!!!!! I am so happy. Ravelry is so cool. I can feel myself getting more organised by the minute. My partner is not so impressed. He thinks that the more yarn I know about the more I will want to buy. It's August and again my body has let me down. This time last year I was pregnant and so looking forward to bringing another soul into the world, now I am coping with the loss of three souls and just about to seek medical help.
What a difference a year makes.
On the good side of life. I am definitely going to go back to Uni next year, I just need to find my transcript from Vic and get a place for Sam in the crèche. Having a worthwhile career I think will help a lot.

Sam is now 20 months old ad growing like weed. I have just started to put him in size three clothes and I have to make him some new sleep suits as his size 2 ones are just too small. I wish I had known about sleeping bags when he was born, they are so much easier to sew.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-53635259397739699552007-05-24T18:42:00.000-07:002007-05-24T18:50:55.296-07:00New knitting<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW5at8rXmGqgj_bdqt6sNNebJxtTcoP_yHJ2yYwJoSpiHcIEDXRKUxft3LC5iFJsHTaRN5ea5b8AaCkdo1K1fOphl9w5b6us5Uj1YM69nQ2HRh5ivkeG1AddjMDkKe6fxd1Fp1aw/s200/Sam+117.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5068309436450818114" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrR_zg88YKMre8LNzq-VuCF3XZziPjXdHvret3KhhZugKyF2FQ1YTBDQqjvsC9iBBBoDFRGQgQTjoVaYj5xAzzzMhrOEINx08Qzj3OMP8wBdIqESnVG47TukEad9Hbw4E-y8WEAw/s200/Sam+116.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5068309445040752722" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJXoOL9Wppo9E7uFw2xKoLPzXE5EDbsfArqglZyLB6A6GflIO7rw4qhW9r1X1gWD_I8-wLbfoV_T3WT54ep1V95zCWnE4V9yu9WP9GIt6wQYj_ozmtgcP_yFYKP__7auvztbWVqQ/s200/Sam+118.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5068309457925654626" />
I have been making Sam some soaker's to wear over his Velour Confectionery fitted nappies made by Claire from Wigglebums.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-30849717521639586692007-04-14T02:35:00.000-07:002007-04-14T02:36:46.711-07:00Sockapalooza 4<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEArcyTglDfMd9eG11mktCvFFIA1qZfSMK5Ig7dqNoJyYqKMo3Mg4bG6-vKRpwIDT0w1GaJHaBidXAeW27p3PLigDkiMXNUxC9nffjsdxdWmQaoCyy0KdQbPm_HVuWgcNkPST94g/s320/sockapalooza4_button.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5053215205661638386" />

I love knitting socks. We have found some things difficult like me working, but Mum helped out Saturday night which gave me a break and enabled me too work all Saturday with no interruptions. I have been thinking about the two birthdays that are coming up soon and my Christmas preparations. More on that soon.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1162664744630263662006-11-04T10:20:00.000-08:002006-11-04T10:25:44.653-08:00Early morningHere I am first thing in the morning. I start work on the weekends at 6am and I work till 2pm. There isn't many messages first thing in the morning so I sit here reading blogs and my email.
The knitty baby bumpers blog just makes me sad. I am so happy that so many people are pregnant but still I am not.
I was hoping that this month I was but I'm not. I love my son so much but I want more children mostly because family is so important to us and because we have so much love to ive to so many children.
Mark is away for the next two weeks so I get to work and look after Sam all by myself. I will miss him and he will miss us. We would have gone with him but money is tight so he is going alone.
early morning makes me feel blah.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1160962975360680242006-10-15T18:37:00.000-07:002006-10-15T18:42:55.373-07:00Photo

Here is a recent photo of Mark and Sam, Sam and I, and Mark and Sam again.Just incase anyone was wondering what we look like.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1160860965081334862006-10-14T14:20:00.000-07:002006-10-14T14:22:45.100-07:00Should I make this?
I need advice. I haven't worked now for nearly 18 months as I left my job at Pumpkin Patch to start studying. I stopped my studying to look after Sam as mum was too sick to help me out with that.
Now I have a job.
It is data entry so I can work from home and most of my hours will be on the weekend. I will also be gettibng paid more than I have ever gotten before.
I am so stoked. The only thing that would make me happier is if I was pregnant.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1160202290572637492006-10-06T23:22:00.000-07:002006-10-06T23:24:50.573-07:00Pink for OctoberOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Eevn though this is not someting that I am expecting will ever happen to me (family history of Diabetes and high blood pressure) the bio geek and medical nut in me loves to jump on this bandwagon. Hence my blog is pink. Yay.......we love pink!!!!!!!!!!!!Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1160201854353043242006-10-06T23:08:00.000-07:002006-10-06T23:17:34.356-07:00Heartache and disappointmentOn Tuesday we had an unscheduled scan as I had been spotting lightly. As soon as the ultrasound came up on the screen I knew my baby was gone. There was just a sack with no foetus inside. My baby for some reason had stopped developing at 6 weeks, but 4 weeks later my body was just starting to realise.
We were given the option of waiting to miscarry naturally or have an evacuation of the products of conception, both have their risks but after talking about it we decided on the latter.
On Thursday morning I had the operation and instantly felt better. The baby had been dead inside me for 4 weeks and all the time I had thought I was still pregnant. I never knew that it could happen that way. I thought that when you miscarried that it happened straight away, in a dramatic way.
Two days later I am more determined to have another baby. They have told us to wait one cycle for dating purposes but they have said there is no reason why we can't start trying straight away.
Today we bought a white camelia and planted it in our front garden of our house in Dunedin. It can be seen from Mark and my bedroom. We bought it so we can remind ourselves of what we have lost as well as tell Sam when he is old enough to understand what has happened.
Neither of us are really sad. I can't believe that in 2 months he will be one year old. He is so big now that I miss having a little baby, most people mistake him for an 18 month old which is quite funny.
One that note I have news. I know that nobody probably reads this blog nayway but here goes. I miss Sam being a baby so much I am having another. As of Friday I will be 8 weeks pregnant, due 27 April. Mark and I are so excited. So stay tuned for the following:

baby knitting

baby knitting

and more baby knitting

and of course christmas knitting and stuff for Sam and Mark.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1145265624690003682006-04-17T02:04:00.000-07:002006-04-17T02:20:24.703-07:00Sock Update

I have made one sock and started on the second. Here are the badly photographed pictures. The bib was used to make a contrast between the sock and the table. I have decided to not make jaywalkers and have gone for a design I found in a local knitting magazine called Creative Knitting. The are rib and cable socks still in patonyle 4ply. I thought someting different would be nice.

Also in non sock knitting news I thought I would publish a photo of Sam and his blankie. It is one my Mum knit for him. It is in Shepherd baby 3ply in a mint green colour. The name of it is Traditional pram blanket. He loves it and I think it looks great. She should be proud.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21386240.post-1140056493089715762006-02-15T18:09:00.000-08:002006-02-15T18:22:06.643-08:00Sockapaloooza Started

I have started my socks for my sock pal. I have started this blog as I have decided to participate in the sockapaloooza going starting shortly at Alison's site which is at the following URL.
http://www.alison.knitsmiths.us/
I am a beginner sock knitter and I am very much looking forward to making my first proper pair of socks. Now to decide what pattern to use. The only problem is living in New Zealand we are very limited in our choice of sock yarn. No Lorna's laces, no Crystal palace. I long for funky variagetd yarn...sigh.Helenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10050884535954823393noreply@blogger.com0
